The Ranger team helps to mediate conflicts and acts as an in-the-field
point of contact between the organizers of the event and the
participants in the event. Their primary role is to act to avoid
conflicts where possible and facilitate peaceful resolution of
conflicts when they occur. Additionally, Rangers help to resolve
situations that otherwise would require intervention from external
entities such as law enforcement. Rangers mostly walk around a lot
wearing a sash and carrying a radio. Very occasionally, they make a
perimeter around something dangerous.
