Team Leads: Sarah Griffith and Jamie Calderon

The Greeters team organizes the volunteers who provide a greeting
function to new arrivals at the Alchemy burn. Greeters are usually the
second individuals encountered by new arrivals after the Gate workers.
Greeters help ensure that participants understand the ten principles
under which the burn operates, know where to go to find activities
and friends, and help them feel comfortable and shed some of the
default world attitudes and typical responses. As such, Greeters can
be helpful in building the burn "bubble" for newly arriving
participants. The Greeter Team Lead organizes the greeting function
and helps recruit a team and volunteers to make it happen.
