I have the distinct pleasure of being one of the founders of Alchemy.  Our first two years have been mindblowing and came together as the product of enormous work by all involved.  We made Alchemy a magical space, and we're looking forward to outdoing ourselves again this year -- with YOUR help!  This year, in addition to my role on the Board, I am again the Event Lead -- managing the group of team leads and the overall function of the burn.  I view the work I put into Alchemy as my gift back to the community and that gift is freely given.  As for my burner cred, my first burn was Transformus in 2005.  Since then I've hit Transformus three times, PDF once, Element twice, Flipside once, Afterburn once, and that Thing In The Desert three times.  I will always burn the man.  As for my managerial cred, I'm a professional manager of technical geeks by day.  I hold Bachelor's Degress in both Computer Science and Philosophy and a Masters of Business Administration.  I'm passionate about practical applications of the ten principles in every day life.  I am forever changed by my experience at burns and I hope you are, too.

In 2005, this girl I was mad about invited me to Transformus, 2005. In October, 2007, I helped organize Alchemy: The Georgia Burn. In between there have been some more Transformuses and a few Burning Mans. My motivation in helping organize Alchemy is to bring the energy, atmosphere, and community of Burning Man to my home in Georgia.

I have had the awesome experience of serving with the Alchemy team since its inception. This will make my second term with the Board of Directors and I am honored to have been chosen by our community to keep Alchemy heading in the direction of total awesomeness and world domination, or at least another AMAZING burn in October!

Transformus 2006 was my first burn and since then there has been several regionals and the big daddy in the desert. Being at burns, especially at regionals, is where I feel most at home. Alchemy is my heart and I look at this burn as the greatest gift I can give back to those who have given me the awesome experiences I have had.

My philosophy on burns is simple- this burn belongs to the participants and what you want is what we do! I welcome the input of any and all who have ideas, want to get involved or just want to voice that occasional concern.

In 2005, I attended my first burn ever- Transformus.   Prior to going, I read everything I could get my hands on about Transformus and the 10 Principles.  I had a fantastic time, and was instantly addicted.
I have been to many burns since that point, including PDF in Delaware, Transformus, Element in South Carolina, Flipside and Burning Man (three times and counting).  I had the honor and privilege of helping create Alchemy in 2007 and 2008, and I look forward to what 2009 holds!

My first burn experience was in the summer of '05.  In '07, I became addicted to playa dust. In between and beyond, mix in meeting more glorious people and traveling to other regionals....and you have one crazed art and burn fanatic.  I am not sure my view of the world will ever be quite the same.
