Just one week away now!

**INVITATIONS**
We've shipped out all invitations that were purchased as of midday
September 11th.  These should arrive in your mailboxes in the next day
or two.  Any invitation purchased after that point will be available
at the gate at Will-Call.  You must bring a valid ID with you in order
to pick up your will-call invitations.  NOTE:  there will be no
invitation sales at the gate.  You must purchase your invitation
before you come.  The last day to purchase invitations is Wednesday,
September 19th at noon.


**THEME CAMPS**
We've had an outstanding response to our theme camp preregistration!
We now have seventeen theme camps preregistered!  See
http://www.alchemyfestival.com/participation/theme-camps.html for a
listing.  If you want to be pre-placed by our site layout team, you
must register your theme camp by Friday, September 14th.  Of course
you can bring your theme camp to Alchemy even if you don't
pre-register, but there's no guarantee you'll get optimal placement
that way.


**VOLUNTEERING**
Our team leads still need your help in making this burn the best it
can be.  We definitely need help in the following areas:

Gates/Greeters -- be the face of Alchemy!    Contact
lee@alchemyfestival.com to volunteer for a shift.

Lamplighters --  light up our event!  Contact adam@alchemyfestival.com
to volunteer, or find the lamplighters on site to help.

Medical -- if you have medical training, please contact
lori@alchemyfestival.com to volunteer to help.

Rangers -- the last Ranger training before the event is Saturday, so
volunteer with joshua@alchemyfestival.com ASAP to participate

Center Camp -- if you'd like to perform, Center Camp may be a good
location for you!  Center Camp is a community use space complete with
a variety stage and comfortable lounge areas.  If you'd like to
volunteer to help there or would like to get on the schedule for
performances, contact kitty@alchemyfestival.com

If you don't want to commit now, but find yourself changing your mind
when you get to the site, please talk to our greeter folks about how
to volunteer after you reach the event.


**EVENT SCHEDULE**
We are not publishing an event schedule ahead of time, but there will
be a place at Center Camp to post information about any special event
you're hosting during the burn.  Please visit Center Camp soon after
you arrive to get your event listed on the community board.


**DJ TENT**
In addition to the musical offerings of the many theme camps, Alchemy
is creating a separate DJ/dance tent.  We still need DJ volunteers and
the folks with equipment they wouldn't mind letting us use there.  If
you have excellent lighting, banging equipment, or would like to spin
for a shift or two, contact Troy at music@alchemyfestival.com.


**WORK DAY**
We will be having an Alchemy work day in Marietta GA on this Saturday,
September 15, 2007 starting at 12 noon.  Come help build the effigy,
make signs, or help with many other necessary tasks.    The address of

**GATE HOURS**
Theme camps are welcome to arrive for setup on site as early as
Thursday morning.  We also have the site through Monday afternoon, so
there's no reason to hurry in your packing on Sunday.


**SURVIVAL GUIDE and DIRECTIONS**
The survival guide, complete with accurate directions to the site,
will be ready to go within the next day or so.  We'll send another
email with a link to it when it is ready.
