Alchemy is just around the corner (six weeks!) and many of you will have already received your invitations in the mail by now.
This
quick email is to remind you that there are resources you can use to
help coordinate how you'll participate as well as give you a few
updates...
*General Discussion*
If you want to discuss general Alchemy-related things, like theme camps and so on, please join our Alchemy Talk yahoo group at

*Theme Camps*
As of the writing of this email, we have eight theme camps already registered. You can keep up to date on that list by visiting
http://www.alchemyfestival.com/participation/theme-camps.html. If you're considering doing a theme camp, please pre-register
so that our Site Layout team lead can get you the best placement. Theme camp registration is at

*Center Camp*
Center Camp will be our location for maps
and schedules, a comfy place to chill out, and will provide an open
stage for variety performances. If you'd like to perform and want to
get a spot on the schedule ahead of time, contact Kitty at centercamp@alchemyfestival.com
*Calling all DJs!*
We're setting up a separate HUGE tent for DJs and dancing. If you're a DJ and you'd like to spin at the event, please contact Troy at music@alchemyfestival.com to get on the schedule. We're also looking for folks who would be willing to offer use of their bass stacks, additional amplifiers and gear, and lighting and decoration for the DJ tent.
*Volunteering*
We could use help in all of our departments. The teams with the greatest staffing needs however are:
Gates and Greeters - contact Lee at gate@alchemyfestival.com to volunteer
Rangers - contact Joshua at rangers@alchemyfestival.com to volunteer
We could also definitely use staffing help with
Lamp Lighting - contact Adam at lamplighters@alchemyfestival.com

*Art Grants*
Because we're in our first year, we were obviously unable to offer art grants, but we hope to be able to do so next year if attendance is strong enough to pay for the expenses of the burn. Anything left over will be turned toward next year's burn as well as art grants.
