Invitations on Sale!
Invitations to the 3rd annual Alchemy festival went on sale on April
3rd. Tier 1 invites are still available, and you can get yours at
http://www.alchemyfestival.com/essentials/invitations.html. For the
third year straight, Tier 1 invites are only $35 per invite. That’s
$7 per day, or only .35 per hour of the event! We are still one of the
most inexpensive burns in the country to attend!
You may have noticed that the invitation purchasing process is a
little different this year. After you purchase your invite, you can
log in to www.alchemyfestival.com to change your mailing address and
retrieve your gate keycode. Be sure to update your mailing address
quickly if it changes, because you won’t be able to update your
address after we’ve mailed your physical ticket. If you lose your
physical ticket, you can retrieve your keycode at any time. Just make
a note of that keycode and bring it to the gate with you instead of
your ticket.
The new invite process should help alleviate complications from
previous years, such as how to transfer an invite if you choose to
sell yours.

2009 Art Fundraiser
You may remember our art fundraiser from last year. We're doing it
again this year, on June 27th, at Blue Tower Gallery (675 Metropolitan
Parkway, #1113 Atlanta, GA. 30310). Interactive art is one of the
beautiful things about a burn. The Alchemy Art Fundraiser gives YOU
the opportunity to decide what kind of art you want to experience at
Alchemy. Artists who would like to bring their art to Alchemy, but who
need help from the community to make it happen, will have examples of
their ideas on display for you to examine. It is $10 to get in, and
literally every single dollar raised goes directly to Alchemy artists!
There will also be music, interesting entertainment, FIRE, and tons of
fantastic burners.
Watch the website and future Alchemist issues for start time and
other details about the event. For now, save the date and plan to be
there!
Artists: If you are interested in displaying your ideas at the Art
Fundraiser this year, you need to submit a summary of your idea to the
Art Team by no later than June 14th, at 3pm. You can submit it via
email to art@alchemyfestival.com, or by contacting any Art Team member
prior to June 14 to arrange an alternative way to submit your idea. We
are requiring everyone who is interested in displaying their ideas at
the fundraiser this year to submit their ideas in advance. No walk-in
artists will be accepted at the fundraiser! Get your ideas to the Art
Team NOW!
